PEDAGOGICAL EVENTS: TEAM TEACHING STAGE

a) Pedagogical event Nº2: The most significant event I lived in my practicum was when I decided I wanted to reinforce a unit taught by the teacher.



b) Reflection Nº2. "Interactions in the classroom": I chose this artefact because is the one that best represents my work done in my practicum, doubtless the one which made me to grow more. This motivation comes from the repetitive classes that the teacher gave to their students who where all kids between 9-10 years old. The classes not only were repetitive but also boring and too behavioral for children. So I decided to reinforce the unit which was based on wild animals. The teacher asked me to do a planning of the class and send it to him before I teach the class. My planning was done considering the age of the students and the ways in how they learned. I took in consideration the significant learning, I consider it a way of learning that can be achieved through the enjoyment of students. Students must be provided of good environments that promotes their learning and their mental and physical well-being. 
My idea was to create a kind of game with cards of different colors and textures, each card with an animal of a different habitat so they will have to classify them properly in the whiteboard.
         Finally, the activity succeeded, so I felt really good mostly because the children had a good time, even they offer themselves to help me to tidy the materials used. Nevertheless, a weak point was how to motivate the children to speak English. Although they did it, they were really ashamed and tended to mutter.
        I still think and I am an adherent that to teach must be an excitement action for who teach and for who learn and should not be a monologue. Teacher must involve and captivate the student, that is the challenge.
